Add a Labor Code Table
Create a new labor code table when you need to associate labor billing rates with individual labor codes.
To add a new labor code rate table:
- In the Navigation pane, select .
- Click + New Billing Labor Code Table.
- Enter a table name and number. Specify the currency to be used in the rate table.
- Optional. Enable Available for Planning to make the table available on the Planning Rates tab in Planning.
- Optional. In the Properties lookup fields, associate organizations and employees with the labor rate table.
- In the Labor Codes grid, enter details for the labor code mask, description, and rate to bill for work performed under the specified labor code.
For the labor code mask, enter a labor code, or combination of valid labor code characters and wildcard characters.
The wildcard is an underscore (_). For example, if your company uses four-digit labor codes, and you want to charge a specific code to all labor codes with a 2 as the second level, enter _2__.
- Optional. If you use effective dates for billing rates, enter a date in the Effective Date field for each row that you insert on the grid.
- Click Save.
Alternative Procedure: To create new tables, you can also copy and modify existing tables.
