Import an Opportunity from GovWin IQ

When using CRM with GovWin IQ configured, you can connect to a GovWin IQ instance and import opportunity records.

To import an opportunity from GovWin IQ:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the Hubs section and select Opportunities.
  2. Complete one of the following:
    • For a new record, click + New Opportunity next to the search field to display the Opportunity form and click Import from GovWin IQ.
    • When an existing opportunity record is open, click Actions > Import from GovWin IQ.
  3. On the GovWin IQ Opportunities dialog box, select one or more opportunities to import.
  4. Click Import.

    Before completing the import, Deltek determines if any of the selected opportunities already exist. If it finds one or more matches, it lists those opportunities in the Opportunity Records Exist dialog box and gives you the option either to skip all duplicate opportunities or to select one or more that you want to import.

    It then checks for the existence of companies and contacts associated with the opportunities:
    • If Allow new records is selected in the Integrations & Imports area of the Configuration workspace and Deltek cannot verify that the client and all competitors and contacts associated with the opportunities in GovWin IQ already exist in the database, the New Records dialog box displays a list of those companies and contacts. In the New Records dialog box, review the list of companies and contacts, and clear the check boxes for those for which you do not want to create records in Deltek.
    • If there are missing company or contact records but Allow new records is not selected in the Integrations & Imports area, the import process does not create missing company and contact records. In that case, if they are needed you must add them manually and associate them with the related opportunities.
    If Deltek cannot verify that the primary clients and all competitors and contacts associated with the opportunities in GovWin IQ already exist in the database, the New Records dialog box displays a list of those companies and contacts. In the New Records dialog box, review the list of companies and contacts, and clear the check boxes for those for which you do not want to create records in Deltek Resource Planning.

    After the above checks are performed, the opportunities are imported.

  5. Click Save.
