Transactions Tab of the Transaction Posting Form

Use the Transactions tab to select one or more transaction files to post, or to schedule for posting at a later time.

You cannot post AP voucher transaction files that are currently open and in use in Accounting > AP Invoice Approvals.

Fields

The fields that display on the Transaction Posting form before you open a transaction file are common across transaction types.

Field Description
Transaction Type From the drop-down list, select the type of transaction that you want to work with.

The transaction type list is filtered based on your security role's access rights. If you use multiple companies, this list is further refined based on the active company. See the Accounting tab of Role Security for more information.

Transaction Grid

Refer to the transaction grid for an overview of the transactions that are entered for the selected Transaction Type.

Field Description
Type This field displays the transaction type that you selected.
File This field displays the transaction file name, as entered on the New File dialog box.
Creator This field displays the username of the person who create the transaction file.
End Date

This field displays the end date of the transaction, as entered on the New File dialog box.

If Deltek is configured to require that transaction dates fall within the current fiscal year or current fiscal period, you cannot select a file for posting if its end date does not meet that requirement.

Period This field displays the transaction period, which is determined by the transaction end date.

Display Options

Use these options to further refine the Transaction Grid results.

Field Description
Show only transaction files created by me Select this option to view only the transactions that you created.
Show Recurring Journal Entries Scheduled to Select this option to view only recurring journal entries that are scheduled to post.
