Organization Import Fields
If you configured Deltek for the variable organization structure, you can import your organizations.
This import option is available in the browser application only if the Accounting module is not activated and the Resource Planning module is activated.
Also, if you configured Deltek for the fixed organization structure, you cannot import organizations. Instead, set up your organizations on the Organizations tab of the General System Settings form.

(Required) Organization ID. You establish your organization structure by importing the organization IDs for all levels of the structure. For example, if 10 is an organization ID at the top level of the structure and 10.01, 10.02, and 10.03 are organization IDs under 10 at the next level of the structure, you import a record for each of these organization IDs: 10, 10.01, 10.02, and 10.03. Deltek determines the hierarchical relationships of the organizations based on the IDs. If no organization with a matching ID exists in Deltek, the import process creates a new organization. If an organization with a matching ID already exists in Deltek and you select the Update duplicate records option, the import process updates fields in Deltek for that organization based on the data in the .CSV file. If this field is blank, the record is not imported and an error message displays. |
