Contents of the Planned Hours Dialog Box

Use the Planned Hours dialog box see a summary of an employee's planned hours and copy them to a timesheet.

The Planned Hours dialog box displays a grid for the employee's assigned projects that shows data such as the start and end dates of the assignments, planned hours, job-to-date hours, remaining hours, and hours during the current period. You can reorder, sort, resize, and filter all the columns in the grid.

Field Description
Selection Check Box Click each row's check box to select the row to be copied to the timesheet. To select all rows, click the check box at the top of the column heading.
Project This field displays the project number for the project to which the employee was assigned as a resource.
Phase This field displays the phase number for the phase to which the employee was assigned as a resource. This field is not available if WBS2 is not enabled.
Task This field displays the task number for the task to which the employee was assigned as a resource. This field is not available if WBS2 is not enabled.
Labor Code This field displays the labor code for the assigned resource. This field is not available if Labor Code is set to None on the Options tab in Settings > Time.
Start Date This field displays the date on which the employee's assignment began.
End Date This field displays the date on which the employee's assignment ended or the date on which the assignment is scheduled to end.
Remaining Hours This field displays the number of planned hours remaining for which the employee is assigned as a resource on the project (Planned Hours - Job-to-Date Hours).
Planned Hours this Period This field displays the number of hours for which the employee is an assigned resource in the current timesheet period. This amount may be prorated, if the assigned hours overlap timesheet periods. The prorated hours are based on the number of working days in the timesheet period.
Description This field displays the description of the immediate parent of the assigned resource.
JTD Hours This field displays the number of hours the employee has actually charged to the project.
Planned Hours This field displays the total number of hours the employee has been assigned as a resource on the project.
Filter Click to reveal a row that allows you to filter any column.
Column Selection Click to select the columns that display in the grid.
Copy to Timesheet Click Copy to Timesheet to insert the checked rows into the left grid of the current timesheet. This action is disabled until you select at least one row.
