If you have the required absence admin role, you can configure the settings for absence management, including approval settings, and settings for the Absence Matrix. - Categories
When an employee books time off work, they choose a category to book time against. Categories include all types of absence, including personal holiday, sickness, public holidays, unpaid leave, maternity and paternity leave, training, and so on. - Entitlement Sources
Entitlement sources determine the amount of holiday entitlement available, and they are used to grant absence entitlements to employees. Entitlement sources are linked to categories, and this determines the types of absences that users can book time off work against. - Accrual Schemes
Accrual schemes are used to award absence entitlement to selected contacts at regular intervals. You can assign an accrual scheme both to individual contacts, and to all contacts within an organization. A scheduled task ensure employees' entitlements are automatically topped up at regular intervals. - Compulsory Holidays
Compulsory holidays define any days that employees within your company are required to take, such as statutory public holidays. The category and entitlement source that you select for a compulsory holiday determines whether it deducts leave from an employee's holiday entitlement or not. - Notification Groups
You configure notification groups to define the rules on who gets notified about particular events within the absence management process, such as absence requests, cancellations, rejections, and so on. For each notification group, you select the recipients and absence events. You can also limit notifications to a selected approval route or category.
