Approve or Reject an Absence Request

As an absence approver, you receive a notification to approve or reject any absence requests that apply to your role.

To approve or reject an absence request:

  1. On the header bar, click Personal Zone.
  2. On the Approvals dashpart, click for the absence request that you want to action.
    If the Approvals dashpart is not displayed, click to add it.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To approve an absence request, click .
    • To reject an absence request, click .
    Tip: To review the absence request against other contacts for the requested date(s), click to display the Absence Calendar.
  4. Use the Approval Notes field to enter any supporting information.
    Approval notes are optional when you approve an absence request. However, when you reject an absence request, you must enter a reason.
  5. Click Save.
    An email is sent to the contact to notify them of your decision.
