Set Up Two-Factor Authentication via PIM Web

If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled on your system, you can use the Web version of PIM to set up 2FA on your account.

Before you set up 2FA for your user account, you must first install an authenticator app on your mobile device from your respective mobile app store. The following authenticator apps are supported: Duo, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator.

To set up two-factor authentication via the web:

  1. On the PIM log in screen, click Setup Two Factor Authentication.
  2. On the Setup Two Factor Authentication dialog box, enter your username and password, and click Send.
An email is sent to your registered email address with further instructions on how to complete the setup of two-factor authentication.
  3. Open the email that you received, and click the activation link.
You have a set time to click the activation link in the email before it expires. If the link expires, you must start this process again.
  4. On the Two Factor Setup screen, use your chosen authenticator app to scan the QR code.
The app displays a six-digit code for PIM.
  5. Copy the code into the Code field on the Two Factor Setup screen, and click Continue.
You only have a set time in which to complete this step before the code expires. If the code expires, you must obtain a new code from the authenticator app.
  6. Return to the browser window and paste the code from the authenticator app into the Code field on the Two Factor Setup screen, and click Continue.

Two-factor authentication is now set up for your account. Each time you want to log in to the web or mobile version of PIM, you must now enter or paste the current 2FA code from your authenticator app into the Six Digit Code (2FA) field on the log in screen.
