View the Details of a Document

You can view additional information about a document, such as the modified and received dates, file size, status, scale, and source. You can also access available renditions, previous versions, and file metadata.

Pre-requisites: You must first find the document that you want to view the details for. For information, see Search for Documents.

To view the details of a document in Smart View:

  1. Navigate to the Information Zone or the Documents tab on an entity record, such as a project or organization.
  2. If Smart View is not enabled, click the Smart View toggle to enable it.
  3. If required, search for the document(s).

  4. Click > Summary Details, or click if you are in Image Mode.
  5. On the Details window, do any of the following:
    • To view the metadata, click Metadata. To view the metadata for a rendition, click .
    • To copy a link to the file, click Copy Link.
    • To edit the properties, click Edit Document Properties.
    • To view renditions and previous versions, expand the Renditions or Versions section. To view the document, click the file type icon. To download the file, click .

To view the summary details for documents in Classic View, click the image title and then click at the bottom of the search results to display the summary panel.
