View the Cost Effects on a Project
To help you keep a project within budget, you can see the costs implications of your changes in real time. This means that you can make changes to your project plan and see how they affect the budget immediately. This can help you to avoid going over budget and ensure that your project stays on track.
To view the cost effects on a project:

When you edit a resource plan, click
at the bottom to display the Cost Effect pane.
When you have finished modifying the project plan, you can click
on the first column of the Cost Effect table to export the data to Excel.
