Resourcing
Resource planning and management is a critical part of project success. PIM provides project managers with the tools they need to ensure that they have the right resources in place to complete their projects on time and within budget.
At the contact level, project managers can:
- Get a complete view of a contact's schedule across all projects they are currently allocated to work on. This can help project managers ensure that their contacts are not over-allocated and that they are being fully utilized.
- Make changes to an individual's existing work stage allocations.
At the project level, project managers can:
- View a complete view of staffing and schedules for their projects. This includes seeing the number of resources assigned to each project and the work stages each resource is assigned to.
- Assign resources to work on the available work stages and variations.
- See the effect on the project cost when they make changes to a project plan. This is a powerful tool that can help project managers make informed decisions about how to allocate resources and manage costs.
- Use the reporting options to capture and track historical data about past, current, and future assignments. This data can be used to identify trends, make predictions, and improve resource planning processes.
- Review schedules, plan details, and associated costs for projects and resources. This information can be used to identify potential problems, make adjustments, and ensure that projects are on track.
