Allocate Work Packages

To enable trade defects to be logged against work packages, you must first assign project contacts to individual work packages to review and manage logged defects.

To allocate work packages:

  1. Navigate to the project.
    You can search for projects using the Search Projects link in the Activity Zone. Projects that you are linked to also appear on the History tab on your contact record, and in the Projects dashpart in the Personal Zone.
  2. Click either the Snagging or Punch Lists tab, depending on your territory.
    If the Snagging or Punch Lists tab is not visible on the header band, click more to display additional menu items.
  3. Click Work Packages.
  4. On the Allocate Work Packages window, do the following for each work package that you want to enable for trade defect management:
    • In the Fixed Period column, enter the maximum number of days that you want to allocate to the work package for resolving any defects.
    • In the Allocated Contact column, enter the contact who is responsible for managing defects that are logged against the work package. As you type, a list of matching contacts displays, and you can click a contact to add them.
  5. Click Save.
