You can log a trade defect against any work package that falls below high standards of workmanship, is not completed to specification, or breaches building regulations.
Before you can log a trade defect against a specific work package, you must ensure that a contact has been assigned to it. For information, see
Allocate Work Packages.

Navigate to the project.
You can search for projects using the
Search Projects link in the
Activity Zone. Projects that you are linked to also appear on the History tab on your contact record, and in the Projects dashpart in the
Personal Zone.

Click either the Snagging or Punch Lists tab, depending on your territory.
If the Snagging or Punch Lists tab is not visible on the header band, click
more to display additional menu items.

On the form that displays, use the
Title field to enter a title for the defect, such as a short description.

Use the
Location Group and
Location lists to select the location of the defect.

Use the
Workpackage Group and
Work Package lists to select the work package that the defect relates to.

From the
Type list, select the type of defect that you are reporting.

In the
Description field, enter a description of the defect.

To upload photos of the defect, do the following:

Click
Upload Images.

On the Upload Files screen, click
Choose Files.

On the file picker window, press and hold the CTRL key and select each image that you want to upload, and then click
Open.

Click
Save.

To mark the location of the defect on a project drawing, do the following:

Use the
Select Drawing list to select the drawing that you want to mark the location on.

Click
Mark Image.

On the drawing, click the location where the defect is found to add a pin. You can add multiple pins, if required.

Click
Save Pins.

Click
Submit.
