You add a DMS security definition to a document pool to grant role-based access to the document pool.
To add a role to a document pool:

On the header bar, click
Admin.

In the
Search Admin Zones field at the top, enter
DMS Pool Management.

Click the
DMS Pool Management link that displays.

In the list of document pools on the left, click the document pool that you want to edit to select it.

In the Pool List pane on the right, click
Edit Pool Settings.

Click the Role Security tab.

Click
Add Security Definition.

In the Security Definition column, use the list to select the role security definition that you want to add.
If the security definition that you want to assign does not exist, click
Manage Security Definitions to create it. For information, see Add a DMS Security Definition.

In the Permission column, use the list to select one of the following access rights:

Select this option to allow users to view and download documents from a document pool. Users cannot publish or edit documents to the pool.

Select this option to allow users to publish documents to a document pool. Users cannot view or edit documents.

Read/Write
|
Select this option to allow users to view, download, publish, and edit documents in a document pool.

To apply the security definition only to the selected pool, use the
slider to toggle it off. You leave this option on if you want to apply the security definition to the selected pool and any child pools that exist.

Save.
