Edit a Document Basket

You edit a document basket to update the name, linked entity record, and visibility in your Baskets dashpart. Additionally, you can modify sharing options for users, user roles, and communities.

To edit a document basket, ownership or granted edit rights are required.

To edit a document basket:

  1. On the header bar, click Information Zone.
    If Smart View is not enabled, click the Smart View toggle to enable it.
  2. Click the Basket Mode option at the top.
  3. In the basket pane on the left, click the basket that you want to manage.
  4. Click Edit and Share Basket.
  5. On the Edit Basket window, use the Basket Name field to modify the name of the basket, if desired.
  6. Optional: To add or change the entity record that the basket is linked to, do the following:
    1. From the Entity Class list, select the type of record.
    2. In the Entity Name field, select or enter the name of the record.
    Linking a basket to a specific record, such as a project or organization, allows you to conveniently add all users associated with that record on the Users tab.
  7. Optional: Select or deselect the Show Basket in Dashparts check box to display or hide the basket in your Baskets dashpart in your Personal Zone.
  8. If available, utilize the Users, User Roles, and Communities tabs to select who to share the basket with. For information, see Share a Document Basket
  9. Click Save.

You can also edit baskets from the Baskets dashpart in the Personal Zone. On the Baskets dashpart, click for the basket that you want to edit.
