Contents of the Action Add/Edit Screen
Use the Action Add/Edit screen to define the details of an action.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Contact | Enter the name of the person that you want to associate the action with. For example, if the action is a phone call, you would specify the person that needs to be called.
Note: This field is not available when you create an action for a contact or organization.

Select Action Type | Select the type of action that you want to create. |
Select Priority | Select the importance of the action. |
Next Action Date | Select the date when the action should be completed by. Leave this field blank if the action has already been completed. |
Passed To | Enter the name of the person that is required to undertake the action. Leave this field blank if you intend to undertake the action yourself. |
Action Description | Enter a description for the action. You should provide enough information for the assignee to fully understand the requirements of the action. |
Action Date | Select the date when the action was created. This field defaults to the current date, but you can change this, if required. |
Entered By | Enter the name of the person who you want to manage the action. This field defaults to you, but you can change this if you want to make someone else the owner. |
