You can create a link between two external organizations, such as a contractor organization and a related subcontractor or supplier. This allows you to easily search for linked documents, create new documents, and link contacts between organizations.
To create a link to an external organization:

Go to the external organization record.
You can search for organizations in the
Activity Zone. For information, see Search for Organizations.

On the General tab, under Linked Orgs. and Contacts, click
Add New Organization.

On the Add/Edit Organization window, enter the name of the organization that you want to link to in the Organization field.
As you type, any matching organizations display in the list, and you can click an organization to select it.
Note: If the organization does not yet exist in the system, click
to add it.

Enter or select any information about the external organization in relation to the organization you are linking it to, such as whether the organization is a key and/or active organization, its status, and information about its role.

Save.
