Log an Observation
You can log an observation against a project. When you log an observation, you can choose to upload photographs and mark the location on the relevant project drawing.
To log an observation:

Navigate to the project.
You can search for projects using the Search Projects link in the Activity Zone. Projects that you are linked to also appear on the History tab on your contact record, and in the Projects dashpart in the Personal Zone.

Click the Observations tab.
If the Observations tab is not visible on the header band, click more to display additional menu items.
- Click Add.
- On the Add Observation screen, use the Name field to enter a short description for the observation.
- From the Type list, select the type of observation that you want to submit.
- In the Description field, enter the specific details about the observation.

To assign the observation to a project contact, enter the name of the contact in the
Allocated To field. As you type, a list of matching contacts displays, and you can click a contact to select them.
If you do not allocate the observation to a contact, it will be assigned to you.

To upload a photograph, do the following:
- Click Upload Images.
- On the Upload Files dialog, click Choose Files.
- Select the image file that you want to upload. To select multiple images, press and hold the Ctrl key.
- Click Save.

To mark the location of the observation on a project drawing, do the following:
- Use the Select Drawing list to select the drawing that you want to add mark up to.
- Click Mark Image.
- On the drawing, click the location where the observation is to add a pin. You can add multiple location pins, if required.
- Click Save Pins.
- Click Submit.
