Search for a Document

You can search for documents, drawings, and emails linked to a project or enquiry from the PIM Teamwork Documents tab.

To search for a document:

  1. From the Personal Zone, click the name of the project or enquiry to open it.
  2. On the project or enquiry record, click the PIM Teamwork Documents tab.
  3. Select one of the following modes to search in:
    • Document Mode. Use this mode for all documents and emails. This mode is selected by default. To exclude emails from the results, click the Exclude Emails toggle to enable it.
    • Email Mode. Use this mode to find and manage emails. Additional columns display Email-related information, and a paperclip icon indicates emails that have attachments.
    • Drawing Mode. Use this mode to find and manage drawing files. Additional columns display drawing-related information, such as available renditions, document status, and DLM approval status. If you use the DLM to manage and control your drawings, click the Show DLM only toggle to enable it to view only DLM files. Note that this mode is not restricted to drawing files only, since other file types, such as PDFs and Word documents, can contain drawings. You can apply filters to limit search results to specific file types, such as DWG and JPEG files.
    • Image Mode. Use this mode to find managed image files. Images are displayed as thumbnails, which makes it easier to view and manage them. For information, see Manage Images in Smart View.
Note: This mode only displays image files stored in the DMS. DLM image files are not included.
