Review Resource Plans

Resource plans are used to allocate the resources needed to complete specific tasks at each stage of a project. A variety of configuration and options are available to help you review resource plans at both the project and individual level.

How to interpret a resource plan

A resource plan consists of two axes: a horizontal axis that displays the plan dates, and a vertical axis that lists the work stages and variations. You can group a resource plan by contact or work stage, and change the dates to view a plan over a specific period of time.

Each cell within a plan represents a visual representation of the resource time allocated to a contact for a particular week. The length of the colored bar in a cell represents the amount of time allocated.

Review the table below to understand what the different colors mean.

Color Meaning
White Available time
Dark Blue Time allocated to current work stage
Light Blue Time allocated to other work stages
Dark Red Over-allocated time on current work stage
Light Red Over-allocated time on other work stages
Yellow Time booked for absence
Grey Time reserved for non-project based work
