You close a defect when it has been satisfactorily rectified, or when you determine it is not an actual defect.
Note: To close multiple defects in one operation you can use the Bulk Edit feature. For information, see
Update Multiple Defects.

Navigate to the project.
You can search for projects using the
Search Projects link in the
Activity Zone. Projects that you are linked to also appear on the History tab on your contact record, and in the Projects dashpart in the
Personal Zone.

Click either the Snagging or Punch Lists tab, depending on your territory.
If the Snagging or Punch Lists tab is not visible on the header band, click
more to display additional menu items.

Click
Search to display all defects for the project.
If there are many defects, you can apply one or more filters, including work package, status, type, location group, or location. You can also click
Extra Filters to apply additional filters, such as defect type, recipient, organization, and several date options.

Click
for the defect that you want to action.

On the Snag Actions or Item Actions screen, click either
Mark Snag as Closed or
Mark Item as Closed, depending on your territory.

On the Close Snag or Close Item window, use the
Comments field to enter some comments.

Click
Save.
