Coding Scheme Fragment Fields
Use these fields and options to create and modify a document coding scheme fragment.
Field | Description |

Type | Select the type of coding scheme fragment that you want to create. For information, see Coding Scheme Fragment Types. |
Fixed Text | Enter fixed text to append to document titles. The field applies only to the Fixed Text fragment type.

Format | Enter the format to use for sequential numbering or date-type fragment types. For example, if the fragment type is an entity or scheme-based sequential number type, and you enter 000, the first number assigned to a document that is published to the linked document pool will be 000, followed by 001, 002, and so on. For date-based fragment types, you can specify the date format, such as dd/MM/yyyy or MM/dd/yyyy.
This field applies only to the following fragment types: Entity Based Sequential Number, Scheme Based Sequential Number, Current Date, and Variable Date. |
Entity Class | Select the type of record to apply the scheme to.
This field applies only to the following fragment types: Entity Based Code and Entity Based Sequential Number. |
Code Root | Select the code root to apply to a scheme. Entity class code roots are created in the Entity Class Code Roots tab on the Manage Entity Lookups list editor.
This field applies only to the following fragment types: Entity Based Sequential Number and Scheme Based Sequential Number. |
Order Sequence | Specify the order in which to add the code to document titles. For example, if you add a Current Date fragment type with an order sequence of 1, and then add a Fixed Text fragment type with an order sequence of 2, the document title is created as <Current date> <Fixed text> <Document title>.
This field applies to all fragment types. |
