Manage Contacts on an Opportunity
When you create an opportunity for a prospective project, you can plan ahead and add any external people that you think will work on the project. For each contact that you add, you can assign them one or more roles.

You can add contacts from external organizations to an opportunity, such as clients, contractors, and subcontractors. - Invite External Contacts to Participate on an Opportunity

External contacts receive an invitation by email with their login details. External users can only access opportunities they are invited to collaborate on.
