Edit the Properties of Multiple Documents

You can edit up to 100 documents using the Bulk Edit Properties feature. This feature allows you to update the assigned document pools, entity attributes, and the current version information. When you bulk edit documents in this way, it applies the same updates to all selected documents.

The following documents cannot be edited: Documents undergoing approval, DLM documents, Revit documents, documents originating from Deltek Collaboration and Engage, documents that are checked out, archived documents, and any documents that you do not have write permissions on.

To edit the properties of multiple documents:

  1. On the header bar, click Information Zone.
    If Smart View is not enabled, click the Smart View toggle to enable it.
  2. Find the documents that you want to edit.

  3. Select each document that you want to bulk edit.
  4. Click Bulk Edit Properties.
  5. Optional: On the Edit Properties window, do the following:
    • Select one or more document pools to publish the documents to.
    • In the Select Attributes pane, specify any entity records that you want to associate with the documents.
  6. If you do not want to retain the details and version comments for each document, click the Details/Comments tab and deselect the respective option.
    When you deselect an option, you must enter new details in the text field that displays.
  7. When you are ready to update the documents, click Publish.
