Create custom numbering schemes. Specify names, revision types, document facets, and entity classes to improve document organization and streamline project management.
To add a numbering scheme:

Navigate to the project, click the DLM tab, and then click the Administration tab.
If the Administration tab is not displayed, it means that you do not have the rights to administer the DLM settings for the project.

Click
Available Schemes.

On the Manage Schemes screen, click
Add Scheme.

On the Create Number Scheme screen, use the
Name field to enter a descriptive name for the scheme.

Use the Revision Type list to select the method of versioning for documents linked to the scheme.

To add a document facet, click
on the Scheme Facets section.
You must add at least one facet to the scheme. Facets contribute to document identification, such as sheet type, discipline, number, level, and so on. For information, see Document Scheme Facet Properties.

To limit the availability of the numbering scheme to specific entity classes, click
on the Applicable Entity Classes section and select an entity class.
Repeat this step to add additional entity classes, if required.

Save.
