Define a Company's Invoice Settings
Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can define the invoice settings that a company uses to handle financial transactions in Resources. These settings include whether to automatically close jobs upon final invoicing and whether to allow or disallow zero-amount invoices, the editing of hourly sales prices on invoice lines, and the editing of profit margins on purchases on invoice lines. They also include the invoice number and credit note number ranges, as well as the number ranges for correctional invoices/credit notes on retainers. You can also modify these settings by opening the company card in .
Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.
To define a company's invoice settings:
- On the main toolbar, click Resources .
- On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.

Select the company whose invoice settings you want to modify by completing any of the following actions:
- In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the company, then select it from the grid.
- Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Company as your filter, and select the company from the grid.
- On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information / to display the company card.
- On the side toolbar of the company card, click .
- Update the invoice settings as needed.
