Create One-on-One Conversations With a Resource Contact
Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can have one-on-one task conversations with resource contacts in Resources. All one-on-one conversations are private - only you and the contact that you are having the conversation with have access to the conversation. You can also view your one-on-one conversations in Inbox.
Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.
To create one-on-one conversations with a resource contact:
- On the main toolbar, click Resources .
- On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.

Select the resource associated with the contact that you want to have one-on-one conversations with by completing any of the following actions:
- In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the resource, then select it from the grid.
- Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select the resource type as your filter, and select the resource from the grid. For example, you can use Clients as the filter and then select the client name from the grid.
- On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information /.
- On the side toolbar of the resource information card, click Contacts .
- On the top toolbar of the resource information card, select Show Inactive to display both active and inactive contacts.
- Click the initials of the contact or click Toggle Resource Card on the top toolbar of the resource information card to display the contact card.
- On the side toolbar of the contact card, click 1:1 Conversations .
- Use the Comment field to start or reply to a conversation and click Publish.
- To view the conversation in your Inbox, position your mouse pointer over the right margin of the conversation pane and click Get Deep Link to This Comment .
- To edit your comment, position your mouse pointer over the right margin of the conversation pane and click Edit Comment .
