Jobs with Expired End Date

Use Jobs with Expired End Date in the Administrative Follow-Up submodule in the Finance & Administration module to view and update jobs whose end dates have expired.

To use Jobs with Expired End Date, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in User Access Rights under Settings.

Closing jobs can have a great impact on Gross Profit, so the list of jobs that have expired end dates should always be empty. Ideally, a job must be closed before it expires. However, certain circumstances prevent a job from being closed. For example, a job has not been invoiced, or it still has Purchase Orders that have not been approved and settled.

Consult with the Project Manager in charge to determine whether you need to close the job or extend its end date.

Note: After a job is closed, it can never be reopened to allow time entry. However, additional information such as sales invoices, credit notes, and external costs can be added at any time if it is opened by a finance user.

Jobs with Expired End Date provides information such as job number, job name, end date, Project Manager, Company, and percentage of completion.

You can perform the following actions from Jobs with Expired End Date:
  • Update the end date of one or more jobs
  • View the details of a job on the sidebar
  • View a specific job's properties
  • Open a job in a new tab
