Enable a Resource Contact to Create Client Jobs Using Client Settings
Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can use the Contact Access Dialog box in Client Settings in Resources to enable contacts to create jobs for clients. This is useful when you have clients who are more involved in the day-to-day management of projects and jobs and whose contacts need access to jobs, price quotes, schedules, and other information. Alternatively, you can enable contacts to create jobs for clients using the contact card. .
Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.
To enable a resource contact to create jobs for clients using Client Settings:
- On the main toolbar, click Resources .
- On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.

Select the client that the contact will have job access to:
- In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the resource, then select it from the grid.
- Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Clients as your filter, and select the client from the grid.
- On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information /.
- On the side toolbar of the resource information card, click .
- On the top toolbar of the resource information card, click Add a New Row .
- In the Contact Access dialog box, select a contact and click OK.
