Fields and Options
These help topics provide descriptions of individual fields and options on the Overview tab in the Project Management workspace and descriptions of the dashparts that you can display on the dashboard.

The Overview tab in the Project Management workspace contains a dashboard that displays a set of charts and tables, called "dashparts." The dashboard provides graphical representations of project data, enabling you to quickly assess performance and identify problems. - Aged Accounts Receivable Dashpart
Use the Aged Accounts Receivable dashpart to view your posted Accounts Receivable information, with aging data, for the current project. This includes the total amount billed, paid and unpaid balances, outstanding retainage, and the length of time that the receivables have been outstanding. - Aged Unbilled Labor Dashpart
Use the Aged Unbilled Labor dashpart to view an assessment of the labor amounts at the project level. This includes billed and unbilled amounts, as well as an aging chart to display the period of time that the labor has gone unbilled. - Consultant Plan Summary Dashpart
Use the Consultant Plan Summary dashpart to view the direct and reimbursable consultant account contract, planned, and job-to-date (JTD) amounts. You can hover over or tap a bar on the chart to see the amount. - Consultant Progress Dashpart
Use the Consultant Progress dashpart to view how a consultant's JTD is trending compared to the remaining work on the plan. The colored bars for each consultant allow you to quickly analyze their individual progress, which you can then use to form comparisons against other consultants that are assigned to the project. In addition, you can hover over the progress bar for each consultant to see how the percentages were calculated. - Contract Breakdown Dashpart
The Contract Breakdown dashpart provides an overview of the contract amounts at the project level for all labor, expenses, and consultants. These amounts are pulled directly from the columns on the Contract planning grid to give you a quick overview of the contract. - Contract Calculations Dashpart
The Contract Calculations dashpart displays the contract amounts, and their associated calculations, at the project level. These amounts are pulled directly from the Contract planning grid and give you a quick overview of the contract. - Expense Plan Summary Dashpart
Use the Expense Plan Summary dashpart to view the expense account contract, planned, and job-to-date (JTD) amounts for the plan's project. This summary provides a brief overview of the contract, billing, and/or cost amounts for direct and reimbursable expenses, as well as for indirect expenses. - Expense Progress Dashpart
Use the Expense Progress dashpart to view how the project's overall expenses are trending by type. This compares the JTD percentage against the remaining work on the project, which gives you a percent complete for the project. The colored bars for each expense enable you to quickly analyze the individual progress, which you can then use to form comparisons against other expenses for the project. In addition, you can hover over the progress bars for each expense to see the specific details for how the percentages were calculated. - Labor Plan Summary Dashpart
Use the Labor Plan Summary dashpart to view a summary of the planned and baseline hours with the estimate-to-complete (ETC) information at billing. You can then compare this information to the actual contract amount to analyze the project's current status and where it will potentially end. Or, if you are planning at cost, you can view the estimate-to-complete (EAC) overhead against the contract amount to determine the potential profit. - Labor Plan Timeline Dashpart
Use the Labor Plan Timeline dashpart for a quick view on how your project is trending over time. This chart provides details on the project's cumulative planned, baseline, and actual labor amounts, and enables you to compare them to the contract amount that was earned through today. This comparison of actuals to the original plan is helpful when analyzing the accuracy of original forecasts and determining how to improve future planning efforts. - Project Progress Dashpart
Use the Project Progress dashpart to view the overall percent complete for the project's assigned labor, expenses, and consultants, which enables you to quickly assess where you stand on the project through the current date. - Project Plan Summary Dashpart
Use the Project Plan Summary dashpart to view a summary of the project's labor, expense, and consultant JTD and ETC billing amounts at the project level. This dashpart provides one detailed view that shows how the project is trending against the contract amount as of the current date. Or, if you are planning at cost, you can view the estimate-at-completion (EAC) overhead against the contract amount to determine the potential profit for the project.
