Initial Settings for Consultants

When you create a new plan or convert an existing Vision plan, iAccess uses consultant data as the basis for the initial plan data. Many of these values are set internally for the plan and are not visible in iAccess.

Vision Settings Impact in iAccess
The following settings display on the Plan Settings form (Configuration > Planning > Plan Settings ).
Enable Consultant Planning Select this option to plan consultants in iAccess.
Enable Unit Planning This option does not directly impact iAccess plans. However, even when it is not selected, the Job to Date unit numbers display on the Consultants page.
Show Committed PO Expenses This option is automatically selected and is used internally in iAccess.
Calculate Expense Billing from Cost This option is used internally in iAccess.
General Conversion Settings
Baseline amount Converted at same level as planned.
Baseline time-phased assignments. Remain in original time-phase assignment. Time-phased consultant assignments are not visible in iAccess.
Consultants are planned at project level. PLANNING LEVEL automatically set to Project.
Consultants are planned at the lowest level of the WBS. PLANNING LEVEL automatically set to Lowest Level.
Situations in Which You Cannot Convert a Plan
  • Units are planned.
  • Consultants are assigned to plan levels between WBS1 and 2 or between 2 and 3.
  • Consultants have been planned at multiple levels in the same branch.
  • Consultants have been planned at one level per branch, but the levels are not the same. For example, phase 1 and 2 both have tasks. Consultants are planned at the phase level for phase 1, and the task level for phase 2. Because some consultants are planned at the middle level, and some at the lowest level, you must manually combine them and roll them up to the higher level before converting. However, if the consultants had been planned for both phases at the phase level, the plan would automatically convert.
