View, Add, Edit, or Delete an Accounts Receivable Comment

Use the Accounts Receivable Comments dialog box to view, add, edit, or delete AR comments for the client, invoice, client's projects, project's invoices, or credit memos related to the invoice. This dialog box displays all comments that have been entered for the client, including those that were entered in Vision.

You can add, edit, or delete comments only if your security role has update access rights for AR comments in Vision.

To view, add, edit, or delete an accounts receivable comment, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Project Management workspace, select the project for which you want to view, add, edit, or delete invoice comments.
  2. Click the Invoices tab.
  3. Click on or hover over any grid row, and click at the end of the row. The Accounts Receivable Comments dialog box displays all existing comments for the billing client that you have access to.

    Note: All comments for the billing client display, regardless of the invoice row on which you click . However, if you plan to enter a new comment related to a particular invoice, click on that invoice row, and the new comment you add will be assigned to that invoice by default.

  4. Do any of the following:
    • To add a row and enter a new comment, click + Add Comment below the grid, change the default information on that row as necessary, and enter the comment in COMMENT ENTRY.
    • To create a new comment by copying an existing comment row, hover over or click the row for the existing comment, click at the end of the row, and click Copy. As necessary, make changes to the default information on the new row, and enter the comment in COMMENT ENTRY.
    • To delete a comment, hover over or click the row for the comment, click at the end of the row, and click Delete.
  5. Click Save.
