iAccess
If a project does not have an existing plan in Vision Project Planning, you can use iAccess to create the project plan. - Convert a
Vision Plan to
an iAccess Plan
When you are also using the Vision Resource Planning module, you can convert a plan that was originally created in Vision to an iAccess plan. This simplifies data entry, but requires that all subsequent plan updates be made in iAccess. You can then save and publish the plan back to Vision. After you publish, data synchronizes between the two applications so both display the same plan information. - Check Out
an iAccess Plan
To make changes to an iAccess plan, you must check it out. When you check out a plan, it is not available to other users until you check it back in. - Check in
an iAccess Plan
When you check out a plan, it is not available to other users until you check it back in. Even though iAccess automatically checks in a plan when you are finished with it, there may be situations in which you must manually check it in. - Recalculate Planned Cost and Billing Amounts
When you recalculate, iAccess recalculates the planned cost and/or billing amounts using the current rate selections on the Plan Settings dialog box. Any planned values added to the plan later automatically use the current rate settings. - Publish Plan Data from
iAccess to
Vision
When you create a plan in iAccess, the project is marked as having an associated plan, but the plan's data is stored in iAccess. When the plan is ready, you can publish its data and share it with Vision. After you publish, Vision and iAccess display the same plan information. - Switch Planned Amounts from Billing to Cost
When you display the Planning tab, the Show field indicates whether the planned amounts are cost amounts or billing amounts. If the budget type for the plan is set to Cost and Billing, you can use the Show field to display either cost or billing amounts. - Hide or Show Summary Data and Charts
On the Planning and Invoices tabs in the Project Management workspace, you can hide the summary data and charts at the top of the workspace and expand the grid area so that you can view more grid data at one time.
