Budget Types for Projects Without a Plan
When you view a project in iAccess that does not have an existing plan, the Overview and Planning tabs display the project's amounts at cost or billing based on the default budget type that is assigned in Vision Plan Settings.
- If the budget type is Billing, the amounts display at billing.
- If the budget type is Cost, the amounts display at cost
- If the budget type is Cost and Billing, you can select either Cost or Billing in the Show field to switch between the two.
After you create an iAccess plan for the project, you can decide how you want to plan the project, at cost, billing, or both. Use the Plan Settings dialog box in iAccess to select the appropriate budget type for your plan.
Note: When you select the
Cost option, some information may not display because of your security access. Settings on the Accounting tab on the Roles form in
Vision ( ) determine your access rights to labor cost rates and amounts in
iAccess. See the Security Settings and Labor Cost Amounts online help topic for more information.
