Use the Project Plan Summary dashpart to view a summary of the project's labor, expense, and consultant JTD and ETC billing amounts at the project level. This dashpart provides one detailed view that shows how the project is trending against the contract amount as of the current date. Or, if you are planning at cost, you can view the estimate-at-completion (EAC) overhead against the contract amount to determine the potential profit for the project.
Contents
The amounts on this dashpart display at billing or cost, depending on your selection in
Show. Whether both options are available depends on the budget type selected for the plan. If both
Billing and
Cost options display, you can switch between them, and the chart's information will update accordingly. In addition to the amounts represented on the dashpart, the dashpart's criteria, title, and heading color also reflect the selection.
If your firm uses the Multicurrency feature in
Vision, the currency in use is indicated in
Show next to the
Billing
and
Cost options. The project currency is always used when viewing projects and plans at cost. The currency used when viewing projects and plans at billing is determined by a
Vision configuration setting that your system administrator selects. See the Use Project and Billing Currencies online help topic for more information on currencies.
Note: When you select the
Cost option, some information may not display because of your security access. Settings on the Accounting tab on the Roles form in
Vision () determine your access rights to labor cost rates and amounts in
iAccess. See the Security Settings and Labor Cost Amounts online help topic for more information.
Field | Description |
Contract
|
This horizontal line represents the total contract amount from the Contract planning grid.
Calculation: Labor + Expense amounts + Consultant amounts
|
ETC
|
This portion of the bar represents the
iAccess estimate-to-complete (ETC) labor amount for the project. This is the billing or cost value of planned labor that is required from tomorrow through the end of the plan.
The ETC amounts are derived from the following values that display on each Planning page.
- Labor ETC = ETC amount on Labor page
- Expenses ETC = ETC on Expenses page
- Consultants ETC = ETC on Consultants page
|
JTD
|
This portion of the bar represents the job-to-date amount through today's date. It is based on actual JTD charges at billing or cost and includes unposted charges.
The JTD amounts are derived from the following values that display on each Planning page.
- Labor JTD = JTD on Labor page
- Expenses JTD = JTD on Expenses page
- Consultants JTD = JTD on Consultants page
Calculation: JTD = posted and unposted charges at billing or cost through today
|
EAC Overhead (displays if the Cost option is selected)
|
This portion of the bar displays the EAC overhead.
Calculation: EAC Overhead = JTD overhead allocation + estimated JTD overhead allocation (since last allocation) + estimated ETC overhead.
|
EAC Profit (displays if the Cost option is selected)
|
This portion of the bar displays EAC profit from the Labor page. When this amount is positive, the portion of the bar will display on the chart. When the amount is negative because there is a loss, no portion of the bar displays as EAC profit.
When you hover over the EAC profit portion of the bar, it displays both the EAC profit amount and the EAC profit percentage.
iAccess automatically calculates these numbers by pulling the values from the Overview and Planning tabs.
