Assign an Image to a Record
You can upload an image (for example, a company logo or a contact photograph) to iAccess so that you can assign it to an opportunity, company, contact, or employee, or you can select an image from the library of images supplied with iAccess. If you do not assign an image, iAccess uses a default image.
Supported image file types are .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .BMP.
If your security role does not have access rights to update the record, you cannot change the image. You also cannot change the image for an inactive or closed opportunity, an inactive company or contact, or an inactive or terminated employee.
Note: If you are using version 7.4 of Vision and you assign an image to a company, the image does not display if you view the company in the Client Info Center or Vendor Info Center in Vision.
- Display the record in the iAccess area for that type of record.
- Click the existing image in the upper-left corner of the area.
-
On the Change Image dialog box, select one of the following actions:
- To upload your own image file, click Upload, select the image file, and click Open.
- To select an image supplied with iAccess, click Library, select an image, and click Select.
- Automatically crops and scales the image.
- Displays the image in Original Image and Cropped Image.
-
If you want to crop the image differently, do either or both of the following in
Original Image:
- Click inside the existing cropping frame and drag the frame to position it over the part of the image that you want to include.
- Click and drag one or more of the "handles" on the corners and sides of the cropping frame to expand or contract the area included.
- To assign the image, click Select.
