Projects Hub
Use the Projects hub to enter and maintain information for the projects that your enterprise undertakes. That information includes billing, accounting, and planning information. You can also set up projects for contracts that you are pursuing to manage the pursuit process, track the costs related to the pursuit, and begin entering a project plan.

The Projects hub consists of several separate applications. However, those applications are linked so that if you select a project in, for example, the Dashboard and then switch to Billing Terms, the previously selected project is selected automatically on the Billing Terms form. In addition, if you are viewing data for a lower-level work breakdown structure (WBS) element in one application and then switch to another application, data for that same WBS element is automatically displayed by the second application. (An exception to this is when you switch to an application, such as the Dashboard, that displays data only at the project level.)
The help topics for the Projects hub describe all potentially available tabs, fields, and options. The tabs, fields, and options that are actually available to you in the Projects hub depend on a number of factors, including the Vantagepoint modules your enterprise has activated, how Vantagepoint is set up, and the access rights granted to your security role. What you can do in the Projects hub is most extensively restricted if your enterprise has not activated the Accounting module (for example, if Resource Planning, CRM, or CRM Plus is the only activated module).

- Dashboard
Use the Dashboard form in the Projects hub to display a set of charts and tables called dashparts. These graphical representations of project data enable you to quickly assess performance and identify problems. - Project Review
Project Review offers an overview of a project's performance from within the Projects hub. You do not need to leave the hub and generate a report to get a comprehensive overview of project performance. - Projects
Use the Projects form and other related forms and dialog boxes to enter, view, and edit core management and accounting data for your projects. - Estimates
Use the Estimates form and related dialog boxes to enter estimate information for labor, expense, consultant, and units for an in-pursuit or newly won project. - Contract Management
Use the Contract Management form and related dialog boxes in the Projects hub to enter and manage both the negotiated contract amounts for a project and the compensation amounts that you expect to receive for executing that project. Use the Estimated Fee tab to specify how you want to allocate the receipt of estimated fee amounts over time on Project Forecast reports. - Estimated Fee
If your only activated Vantagepoint modules are CRM or CRM Plus, use the Estimated Fee form to specify when you expect to receive future fee payments and the amounts of those payments, both for projects that you are pursuing and for those you have been awarded. That information is then used to forecast your potential revenue stream on the Project Forecast report. - Revenue Forecast
Use revenue forecasting to enter estimate-to-complete (ETC) revenue in summary or across calendar periods at any level of the project structure, for regular projects. You can then compare planned and ETC revenue against your contract, job-to-date (JTD) earned revenue, contract backlog, estimated, or weighted fees to ensure that you allocate revenue properly across the remaining periods. - Plan
When you add a new project in Vantagepoint, a project plan is automatically added as well. Use the Plan form and related dialog boxes in the Projects hub to enter and review project planning data. - Budget
Use the Budget form and related dialog boxes in the Projects hub to enter and review labor, expense, and consultant budgets for your projects. Hours and amounts entered on the Budget form display on the Budget Worksheet report and on many other project-related reports, including the Project Progress, Project Detail, and Project Summary reports. - Billing Terms
A project's billing terms determine how Vantagepoint generates invoices for the project. On a project's Billing Terms form, enter general project and client information, and specify how Vantagepoint should bill for labor, expenses, consultant expenses, fees, retainage, and units. - Invoices
Use the Invoices application in the Projects hub to review a summary of accounts receivable information and information about individual invoices for a project. You can also enter AR comments for the invoices or billing client. If you are responsible for approving draft invoices, you can approve or reject invoices here. - Draft Invoice Approvals
If the billing invoice approval feature is enabled for your company and you are responsible for approving invoices for billing, use Draft Invoice Approvals to review submitted invoices, make changes to them, and approve or reject them. - Projects PIM Form
If your enterprise has Deltek Project Information Management (PIM) and has set up the Vantagepoint integration with PIM to include the Projects hub, you have direct access to the PIM project information and related documents on this form.
