You can quickly add a
Vantagepoint meeting or event to your Gmail calendar. The meeting's details, as well as the contacts and employees who attended the meeting, are also added to the meeting.
To synchronize a
Vantagepoint calendar item to your Gmail calendar:

Open
Vantagepoint and select any Activity grid in the application.

Add a meeting as an activity and select a
Type that has a Calendar display.
Activities that have a calendar display are the only activities that will synchronize to your Gmail calendar. For example, you might have types that are designated for Phone Calls and Client Visits that are calendar activities. These phone calls and client visits would be added to your Gmail calendar. You must be designated as an attendee for the meeting and the meeting must occur between two weeks ago and into the future.
The meeting's details are added to your calendar the next time you synchronize.
Use the
Calendar Invitation field on the Overview tab in the Activities hub to specify whether or not employees and/or contacts automatically receive activity invitations when you synchronize
Vantagepoint with your email application. Options include:
Do Not Send Invitations,
Send to Employees Only, and
Send to Contacts and Employees. For more information, see the
Activities Overview Tab help topic.
For proper synchronization, you must navigate to
and for the
Activity Type set the
Display option to
Calendar. Changing the
Display option to any other setting results in your meetings being removed from the calendar and Connect removing the meetings from your Outlook or Gmail calendar.
Your administrator defines which activities display in the Calendar in
. If you have activities that do not display in the Calendar, these activities do not sync with the Gmail calendar. This is useful for tracking activities for clients without requiring that an invitation is sent to them.
