Project Plan Summary Dashpart

Use the Project Plan Summary dashpart on the Dashboard of the Projects hub to view a summary of the project's labor, expense, consultant, and unit job-to-date (JTD) and estimate-to-complete (ETC) billing amounts at the project level. This dashpart provides one detailed view that shows how the project is trending against the contract amount as of the current date. Or, if you are planning at cost, you can view the estimate-at-completion (EAC) overhead against the contract amount to determine the potential profit for the project.

About job-to-date (JTD) date: If you have activated either the Accounting or PSA module, the JTD date is defined by the Job-to-Date (JTD) Through setting in Settings > Resource Planning > Plan Settings. This selection determines the date for calculating the JTD (posted and unposted) and then uses the next day and beyond to calculate the estimate-to-complete (ETC) date.

The amounts on this dashpart display at billing or cost, depending on the option you select in the upper-right corner of the dashboard. Whether both options are available depends on the budget type selected for the project plan. If both Billing and Cost options are available, you can switch between them, and the chart's information will update accordingly.

If your firm uses multiple currencies, the currency in use is indicated next to the Billing or Cost option. The project cost currency is always used when viewing projects and plans at cost. A configuration setting that your system administrator selects determines whether project cost currency or billing currency is used when you view projects and plans at billing.

When you select the Cost option, some information may not display if your security role does not provide access rights to labor cost rates and amounts.

Units display if the Resource Planning module is activated and if the project is in a company that has Unit Planning enabled.
