Viewing Synchronization Status or Forcing a Synchronization
When you use Vantagepoint with the Connect Add-in, you can synchronize contact, firm, activity, and project information between Outlook and Vantagepoint. Because synchronization is bi-directional, any new or changed information in Vantagepoint is updated in Outlook and vice versa. This eliminates the need to enter data twice, which can save time and reduce data entry errors.
Synchronization occurs automatically when you save a record or you can choose to force synchronization manually from the Connect context pane.
Your system administrator enables or disables synchronization in the Connect Administration utility.
You can use the Connect Sync Options utility to review synchronization issues, statistics, and settings, as well as the mail server connection status.

The synchronization status for both users and groups displays on the Dashboard, Users, and Groups tabs in the Connect Administration utility. This information can help you understand the data shared between the two applications.
