The Navigator Projects pane includes a set of default selection sets that organize the projects that you can select. You can select criteria to limit these selection sets, use the
Search field to search for specific projects, or use the
New Selection Set feature to create custom selection sets.
To select a project, complete the following steps:
-
Use the drop-down list at the top of the Projects pane to open the saved selection sets.
-
From the drop-down list, select a selection set.
If you select a default selection set, Navigator displays active projects that match the criteria that you select and that your Vision Security role is allowed to access. For example, if you select
Project Manager, all active projects you have access to and are the WBS1 level project manager for display in the results list. However, if you create a new selection set, Navigator displays all projects that match the specified criteria.
-
Complete one of the following actions:
- Select a project from the result set.
- Enter additional criteria in the
Search field to continue refining the results list.
When you use the
Search field, the search results come from the first set of projects that are retrieved. For example, if you enter
MS Nav to refine the Company View search, Navigator displays the projects that match the
MS Nav criteria.
If there are many projects, Navigator groups the results in sets of 100. For example, if there are 582 projects in the results set, the first group of results display as
Viewing 1-100 of 582. Use the arrows to click through these groups of results. For example, click the right arrow to go to
Viewing 101-200 of 582. You can scroll through the results sets to locate the project that you need, or you can create a custom search using
New Selection Set to refine your search. Navigator updates the list of active projects accordingly. If you use the Search field and there are more than 100 projects in the results set, Navigator only searches the current group of projects.
-
If you conducted a search in Step 3, select the project from the search results.
