Completion Dates: Estimated
field in the Project Info Center is blank, the field displays the start date.

Labor Target Multiplier
|
This multiplier is used as the basis for evaluation against the Labor EAC multiplier. The multiplier represents how much revenue is anticipated for each labor cost dollar spent on a project. If you are viewing a Vision plan, this field displays the
Target Multiplier for Cost from the General tab of Vision Project Planning. If you are viewing a Navigator plan, this field displays the
Target Multiplier that is assigned in Plan Settings.
If the Vision plan's Budget Type is set to
Billing, the multiplier is blank.
Calculation: Target Labor Cost Multiplier for the Project
If a project is mapped to multiple Vision plans that have the
Include in utilization and project reports option selected, Navigator shows the target multiplier from the plan with the earliest creation date.
|
Labor EAC Multiplier
|
The estimate-at-completion (EAC) labor cost amount is the cost value of the hours worked through today and the remaining planned hours. The EAC multiplier is the project's compensation amount divided by the Labor EAC cost.
Only the EAC cost amounts from plans in utilization are included in the calculation. All Navigator plans are marked to
Include in utilization and project reports. Vision plans may or may not be marked to
Include in utilization and project reports.
The job-to-date values in EAC are from posted and unposted labor. If a plan's budget type is set to
Billing, the plan does not track labor cost values and nothing can be calculated for the Labor EAC Multiplier.
Calculation: Labor EAC Multiplier = Compensation / (JTD labor amount at cost through today + ETC labor amount at cost from tomorrow forward for plans in utilization)
The following example shows a calculation in which a project is mapped to multiple Vision plans:
- Project X is mapped on three plans.
- Each plan has
Include in utilization and project reports selected.
- The project has $500 of JTD labor at cost through 5/31/2014.
- The project has $1000 of ETC labor cost amount as of 6/1/2014 on each plan.
- The project has $5000 for the Contract Compensation amount.
The Labor EAC Multiplier calculation for Project X is as follows:
5000 / (1000+1000+1000+500)=1.43

Job to Date
|
This field displays the job-to-date labor and consultant amounts through today's date. It is based on posted and unposted JTD labor, posted consultant charges, and consultant charges on committed Purchase Orders.
Calculation: JTD = Posted and unposted labor + committed consultant purchase orders + other posted consultant expense charges. All amounts through today and at billing.
If your firm uses Vision Multicurrency, the currency amounts display in the project's billing currency or project currency. The currency is based on the
Use Billing Currency not Project Currency option in Vision Accounting System Settings.
|
ETC (Labor + Consult)
|
This field displays the estimate-to-complete (ETC) planned billing labor amount from tomorrow forward plus the remaining consultant contract billing amount for plans in utilization. This is the value required from tomorrow through the end of the plan to complete the project.
If the Vision plan's
Budget Type is set to
Cost, this amount displays as zero. If a project is mapped on multiple Vision plans that have the
Include in utilization and project reports option selected, Navigator totals are the combined values.
Note: Consultant ETC amount is never shown at less than zero.
Calculation: ETC (Labor + Consult) = Planned labor amount from tomorrow forward + remaining consultant contract amount. All at billing and for plans in utilization.
You can click on the ETC (Labor + Consult) label to see a breakdown of the amount that displays.
If your firm uses Vision Multicurrency, the currency amounts display in the project's billing currency or project currency. The currency is based on the
Use Billing Currency not Project Currency option in Vision Accounting System Settings.
|
EAC (Labor + Consult)
|
This field displays labor ETC + consultants JTD through today + remaining consultant contract amount at billing.
If the Vision plan's
Budget Type is set to
Cost, this amount displays as zero. If a project is mapped on multiple Vision plans that have the
Include in utilization and project reports option selected, Navigator totals are the combined values.
Calculation: EAC (Labor + Consult.) = JTD labor + consultants through today + ETC labor from tomorrow forward + remaining consultant contract. All at billing and for plans in utilization.
You can click on the EAC (Labor + Consult.) label to see a breakdown of what makes up the amount shown.
If your firm uses Vision Multicurrency, the currency amounts display in the project's billing currency or project currency. The currency is based on the
Use Billing Currency not Project Currency option in Vision Accounting System Settings.
