Plan State Indicators

The Actions button on the Planning tab acts as the indicator for the state of plans displayed in Navigator. Refer to the indicator and associated plan text to determine the current state of the plan. As you update the plan, the indicator and text change color and the text updates to reflect the state. For example, indicates that the Navigator plan is saved but not yet published. When the plan is published, the indicator changes to green and the text updates to reflect the state.

Refer to the following table for information on each plan state.

Indicator Description

Navigator plan created. This displays when the Vision Navigator plan is created and saved, but is not checked out.

No plan exists. This displays when there is no existing plan.

No plan exists. Your access rights do not allow you to create a plan. This displays when there is no existing plan and your security rights do not provide access to create a plan.

Plan saved. Plan and baseline published. This displays when the plan is checked out, the plan is saved, and both the baseline and plan are published.

Plan and baseline reverted to last published values. This displays when the last action taken was to revert the plan and baseline values to the previously published values. The plan is not checked out.

Changes saved, but not published. This displays when last action taken was to save the plan information, but not publish it. The plan is not checked out.

Baseline saved, but not published. This displays when the last action taken was to save the plan's baseline information, but not publish it. The plan is not checked out.

Edits not saved. This displays when the plan's updates are not saved. The plan is checked out.

Vision plan. This displays if the current project has an existing plan in Vision. You cannot create a new Vision Navigator plan, but you can convert the Vision plan to a Navigator plan if your access rights allow you to modify a plan.

Vision plan. Some plan details displayed differently in Navigator. This displays when the plan created in Vision contains elements, including resource assignments, that are not mapped correctly. This can result in the inability to convert the plan to a Vision Navigator plan.
