Change a Vision Plan to a Vision Navigator Plan
When you are also using the Vision Resource Planning module, you can convert a plan that was originally created in Vision to a Vision Navigator plan. This simplifies data entry, but requires that all subsequent plan updates be made in Navigator. You can then save and publish the plan back to Vision. After you publish, data synchronizes between the two applications and both display the same plan information.
To convert a Vision plan to a Navigator plan, complete the following steps:
- Open a project that has a Vision plan in Vision Navigator and click the Planning tab. The Actions button displays. This button's label changes when there is only one action that can be taken. The button and the associated plan state text change color to indicate the state of the plan. When the project has a Vision plan, the button label changes to Convert and is gray. The plan state text says Vision Plan when the plan is maintained in Vision.
- Click the Convert button to convert the plan. The Convert to a Navigator Plan dialog box displays.
-
Before you convert a Vision plan, review the changes that will occur to ensure there are not any discrepancies with data. When you perform a conversion, the
Synchronize Fees from Plan to Project option (that is set in Vision Plan Settings) does not apply to Vision Navigator Plans. Also, the EV Pct
is set to zero on Vision Navigator Plans.
