Validation Table
The Validation table on the Data Validation tab displays a list of the elements that one or more of the data validation checks identified as needing attention. The table also lists the values for the data items used in the data validation checks, along with other related values, to help you understand the validation results.
Table Format
The Validation table is a straight table. You can double-click any column heading to sort the rows based on the values in that column. You can also drag columns to a new location to change their order.
Table Data
The Validation table displays relevant data values for elements with data validation alerts. Those data values are either used in the validation itself or are related fields that could help you understand the validation results and resolve any data validity issues.
The table contains one row for each element for which at least one validation alert exists. When you filter the analytics, the table is updated to only display columns for the data items that are relevant to the alerts for the included elements.
In many cases, the most effective way to use the table is to select one validation check in either the Validation Check filter list or the Data Validation Check column of the Alerts by Element table. If you focus the table on one validation check, all of the data columns are relevant for all of the element rows.
Data Item | Description |
---|---|
Element | An element (lowest level element of the selected structure, control account, or work package) for which one or more data validation alerts exist for the selected period. |
Data model fields | Values for one or more data model fields that are either used in the data validation check or that are related fields that could help you understand the validation results and resolve any data validity issues.
Note: The column headings are the actual field names from the wInsight Analytics data model. If you are uncertain what data a column contains, contact your wInsight Analytics system administrator.
