Emerging SV Table

The Emerging SV table on the Emerging Issues tab in wInsight Analytics – Single Project displays elements for which cumulative schedule variances are positive (performance threshold color is blue or green) but current schedule variances for the selected period are negative (performance threshold color is yellow or red). Use this table to identify elements for which potential schedule performance issues are emerging.

Table Format

The Emerging SV table is a straight (non-pivot) table. While you cannot sort the rows based on the values in a column, as you can in most straight tables, you can drag columns to new locations.

Table Data

The Emerging SV table displays the following for each element:

Data Item Description
Current SV (colored cells) This performance indicator column displays color-coded performance and trend information based on the selected period for current schedule variance amount.

The colors and arrows are determined by the change threshold settings that your wInsight system administrator establishes for each contract in wInsight. The colors indicate current performance based on the thresholds, and the arrows indicate if that performance represents a significant positive or negative trend, compared to the prior period.

A legend at the bottom of the tab displays the thresholds.

Cumulative SV (colored cells) This performance indicator column displays color-coded performance and trend information based on the selected period for cumulative schedule variance amount.

Current SV Current schedule variance amount for the selected period.
Cumulative SV Cumulative schedule variance amount for the selected period.
SV Trend The sparkline represents the trend of cumulative or current schedule variance amounts for the element over all periods in the wInsight Analytics data model. The Cumulative and Current options above the trending tables at the bottom of the tab control whether the sparklines are based on cumulative or current values.

A red dot on the line indicates the period with the largest negative variance (or the smallest positive variance) and a blue dot indicates the period with the largest positive variance (or the smallest negative variance).
