Colors and Trend Arrows
Some table columns for metrics display color-coded performance and trend information based on the selected period and the preceding period. Most commonly, this information is provided for schedule variance, cost variance, and variance at completion.
The colors and arrows are determined by the change threshold settings that your wInsight system administrator establishes for each contract in wInsight. A legend at the bottom of the wInsight Analytics tabs displays the thresholds.
The possible colors are the following:
| Display | Condition |
|---|---|
| Red | Unsatisfactory |
| Yellow | Marginal |
| Green | Good |
| Blue | Excellent |
Trend arrow direction is based on the following:
wInsight Analytics calculates a percent change: (Prior period cumulative value – Selected period cumulative or current value) / Prior period cumulative value.
If the percent change is less than the arrow change threshold defined in wInsight, the arrow is horizontal. If it exceeds the arrow change threshold, it points up or down.
| Display | Condition |
|---|---|
| Horizontal arrow | No significant change since last period |
| Up arrow | Significant positive change since last period |
| Down arrow | Significant negative change since last period |
