Data Validation Charts and Tables

Use the charts and tables on the Data Validation tab to help ensure that the data you analyze is as complete and correct as possible. wInsight Analytics applies a standard set of validity checks to the data for the period you select and alerts you to errors, warnings, unrealistic forecasts, or other conditions of interest.

Alerts by Structure Level Table
The Alerts by Structure Level table on the Data Validation tab displays the number of elements for which each data validation check resulted in validation alerts. You can click on a row in the Data Validation Check column to focus the analytics on the results of one of the validation checks.
Alerts by Element Table
The Alerts by Element table on the Data Validation tab displays a row for each lowest-level structure element, control account, or work package for which one of the validation checks resulted in validation alerts. You can click in any of the table columns to focus the analytics on a specific validation check or element that you are interested in.
Validation Table
The Validation table on the Data Validation tab displays a list of the elements that one or more of the data validation checks identified as needing attention. The table also lists the values for the data items used in the data validation checks, along with other related values, to help you understand the validation results.
Validation Trending Chart
The Validation Trending bar chart on the Data Validation tab summarizes data validation alerts by validation type for the selected period and all prior periods.
Contract Information Table
The Contract Information table available from all tabs displays some basic information about the contract to provide context for the data analysis. To display the table, click Show Contract Info in the box that displays the contract and period. Click Hide Contract Info in that box to hide the table.
