Change System Labels
To replace the default Deltek Resource Planning labels (for example, "opportunity" or "subconsultant") with those that are used in your firm, go to the Labels tab in the Customization area of the Configuration workspace.
As you make entries and selections, your work is automatically saved. However, you must log out and log back in to see the configuration settings reflected elsewhere in Deltek Resource Planning.
To change one or more system labels, complete the following steps:
- In the Configuration workspace, click on the left edge of the Deltek Resource Planning page to go to the Customization area, and click the Labels tab.

In the
CUSTOM LABEL field for the first label you want to change, enter the new label.
To locate a particular label without scrolling, type one or more characters from the system label in the field next to the Custom Labels grid title. That filters the list so that it only displays system labels that contain those characters. To restore the full list, click X at the end of the search field.
- If the label you changed has a label for the plural form, repeat step 2 for the plural form.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each label you want to change.
