Configuration: Customization: Labels Tab

Use the Labels tab in the Customization area of the Configuration workspace to replace the default Deltek Resource Planning labels with those that are used in your firm. For example, if you specify "Customer" as the label to replace the default label, "Client," "Customer" automatically replaces "Client" everywhere that label appears in Deltek Resource Planning.

Field Description
Label search field To locate a particular label, type one or more characters from the system label in the field above the grid. That filters the grid so that it only displays a list of system labels that contain those characters. To restore the full list, click X at the end of the search field.
SYSTEM LABEL

This column displays the system labels for which you can specify alternate labels. Many terms have both a singular and a plural label. The labels in this column are for reference only, and correspond to the default labels for professional services firms. The labels in CUSTOM LABEL are the labels that Deltek Resource Planning actually uses.

If you define a fixed organization structure in the General area of the Configuration workspace, the list of system labels includes Organization Level system labels for the levels you set up. The level labels you specified in the General area display in CUSTOM LABEL. If you decide to change those labels, you can do it on this tab or in the General area.

CUSTOM LABEL Initially, this column displays the default labels that Deltek Resource Planning uses on its tabs, forms, and dialog boxes. To replace a default label with your own label, enter your label and its plural form in this column.
